Wally Maggs
Meet Wally Maggs, an accomplished country singer/entertainer living in Elora and performing mainly in his home province of Ontario. With over 40 years of experience, Wally has a down-home country style all his own. Wally started his musical career as the lead singer with The Ramblin' Boys and later sang with Lovin' Country. His longest stint as a singer was with The Ozarks for 20 years. Later he decided to form his own band, Delhousie Junction.
Presently Wally works as a one-man act spreading his brand of good old country music playing at Legions, public concerts, fairs, private functions, festivals, fund-raising events as well as senior and retirement residences.
These days Wally is working on putting together a new EP of original songs. Three-time Juno Award-winning audio engineer, Darren Magierowsky, is working with Wally on this 5 song project. The first song is an up-tempo country tune called "That Ramblin' Man".
In some ways, the song is a reflection of Wally's willingness to travel wherever a crowd gathers and sing his heart out. As the song lyrics say - "he's here; he's there; he's everywhere" and the people are so glad that he is!

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RAMBLIN’
If you’ve ever had a desire to travel then come along with Wally Maggs, an accomplished
country singer living in Elora, Ontario, as he sings about life on the musical road in his very first original song, “THAT RAMBLIN’ MAN”. This up-tempo country tune in some ways is a reflection of Wally’s willingness to travel wherever a crowd gathers and sing his heart out. As the lyrics in the song say -
“he’s here; he’s there; he’s everywhere” and people are so glad that he is.
Three-time Juno Award-winning audio engineer, Darren Magierowski, is working
with Wally on this 5 song project. Multi-instrument musician, Al Widmeyer, formerly with Canadian music legend, Stompin’ Tom Connors, is one of two talented individuals backing up Wally on the song. The other is Pete Sisk who formerly played with Canadian Music Hall of Famers, The Good Brothers.
For Wally the words of Ricky Scaggs pretty much sum up his approach to the music world: “I just love to have fun with music and try to find songs that say something that people want to hear”. Wally’s new song clearly has a special message worth listening to. Give a listen to “THAT RAMBLIN’ MAN” and you’ll
agree for sure.
