Kitt Chapman
Prolific indie songwriter/recording artist who has numerous (original only) instrumentals, folk, alternative both for adult and children 7 and under listeners.
Kitt began her musical journey at the age of 6 being enrolled in the Royal Conservatory of Music program for classical piano training.
While at summer camp she picked up her guitar and sang around the campfires. In middle school she began playing the cello, then taught herself the fiddle and played through high school in the orchestra.
Throughout her discoveries in the arts, she was engaged in working for Toronto Casting in film shoots as an extra. (Pushin Tin, Blues Brothers, etc) Along the way she was a theatre actor on stage in Toronto (An inspector Calls) and Los Angeles (Oliver musical) She also explored acting in various principle roles in student films both in Toronto and Los Angeles.
After raising her 3 kids, she began writing lyrics and composing music to record in Burbank, Ca during which time she and her late husband had their film restoration company.
From 2017-2019 Kitt hosted/produced her own global radio show on ArtistFirst.com called 'Kitts Kids Radio Romp) which was a family show (classified as 'edutainment') targeted at kids aged 10 and under. Kitt also voiced her sidekick, 'Charlie', and interviewed numerous kids, parents, educators, and other guests from her home studio in Peterborough ON.
Kitt Chapman has recently collaborated with two very cool musicians. Nick Gilroy on drums, Billy Wilson Cooper on guitar and base. Combined they've snagged a sound that resonates with the trio and each has contributed equally to Stupefied.
